Flushing

Flushing
This heading has nothing to do with the bathroom.
Flushing is a term used to connote the through cleaning of a Fountain pen. I just realised that cleaning a fountain pen, inside out, is no easy task. It took me close to 45 mins to clean the Converter (Ink Pump), the nip and the cap. I had to strip ‘naked’ then entire pen and it is one messy process.
Why is there a need to flush the pen ? There are many types of inks in the market. Each pen maker has its own ink. For example, Parker manufactures Parker Quink. In order to use a different ink brand, the pen must first be flush in order to maintain the quality of the quality of the new ink.
Flushing is also another method of keeping your pen clean and ensure the top performance of your dear fountain pen.
After flushing, my fountain pen is performing brilliantly.
* The Blue Lamy Pen is my fountain pen, whereas the Parker pen on the left is a ballpoint pen given by my gf, Karen.
A photo a day - Project 365
A very good project. To learn more about it, check this site out: http://thebackpackr.com/
This project was recommended to me by an avid blogger - http://uptheredownunder.blogspot.com/
Instead of writing (which some of us may find it difficult to do so), let’s us capture the colours that everyday life has to offer. How difficult can it be, after all majority of us possess a digital camera, or at least a camera phone.
So peeps, start snapping….”A picture paints a thousand words”

New Year’s Eve
A day where everyone looks forward too. Dinner with your love ones followed by the New Year’s countdown accompanied by shouts and wishes of “Happy New Year” and fireworks around the globe.
KL will be filled with revellers and party goers.
Well as for me, tiredness from work has taken its toil on me. A good night rest is what I need to recuperate from a battering week.
A new dawn, a new year, awaits me the following year.
To all - Have a Blessed New Year 2010 .
